Set in a post-Jax Teller world, Mayans M.C. follows the lives of the Mayans Motorcycle Club, who are based in the fictional town of Santo Padre, California, on the U.S.-Mexico border. The show focuses on Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter based in Santo Padre, who must carve out his own path of redemption as he struggles to reconcile his desire for vengeance against the moral obligations of his new club.
In the second season, episode three of Mayans M.C., titled “Cucaracha/K’uruch”, EZ and Angel are sent on a mission to retrieve stolen property from the Galindo cartel, while Adelita, Emily, and Gaby make a risky move to protect their own. The episode was written by Elgin James and directed by Norberto Barba.
EZ and Angel are called to a meeting with the Galindo cartel, where they are asked to retrieve a package that was stolen from the cartel. The package contains a computer server that contains sensitive information. The Mayans M.C. agree to retrieve the package, and they set off to find it.
Meanwhile, Adelita, Emily, and Gaby are working on a plan to protect themselves from the cartel. Emily has been investigating a rival cartel, the Vatos Locos, and has discovered that they have been working with the Galindo cartel. Adelita and Gaby decide to take matters into their own hands and pay the Vatos Locos a visit in an attempt to get them to back off.
Back on the mission, EZ and Angel track down the package and discover that it has been taken by a group of street kids. They are able to convince the kids to give them the package, and they return it to the Galindo cartel. Later, Adelita and Gaby manage to get the Vatos Locos to back off, and Emily is able to secure a new job.
